How to make Dijon mustard

- mustard seeds (black) – 4 tbsp. l.;
- honey – 15 g;
- garlic turnip – 100 g;
- garlic – 1 clove;
- vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. l.;
- Tabasco sauce – a few drops;
- salt – 5 g;
- dry white wine – 200 ml.
How to cook:
- Chop the onion and garlic into smaller pieces and simmer together with the wine for about 5 minutes.
- Then rub the resulting sauce through a sieve and add chopped mustard to it.
- Add butter, salt, honey and Tobasco and simmer the sauce over low heat, stirring until it thickens (3-5 minutes).
- Let the mustard cool and brew for at least a couple of days.
In the classic version, black or dark colored seeds are used. This recipe can be prepared in a water bath, then the process will take a little longer. But the mustard will have a richer taste.

We will need:
- 0.5 l. wine vinegar;
- 2 Art. l. salt;
- 2 tsp. ground black pepper;
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon;
- 1 teaspoon of sugar;
- 3 tbsp. spoons of mustard beans;
- 4 Art. spoons of olive oil.
- Mix mustard seeds with salt, sugar and pepper. Add vinegar, cinnamon and olive oil and mix well again.
- The resulting mixture is best added at the very end of cooking, when the dish is already ready. In this case, the mustard can be served immediately.
Preparing mustard according to the original recipe at home will take even less time than the previous recipe.
- mustard in grains – 150 gr.;
- sugar – 1.5 teaspoons;
- salt – 1 teaspoon;
- ground black pepper – 0.5 teaspoon;
- apple juice – 135 ml;
- apple cider vinegar – 2-3 tbsp. l.
- Soak the mustard in the juice and vinegar and refrigerate overnight or longer until it absorbs all the moisture.
- Add salt and pepper and put on the fire, bringing to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 3 minutes.
- Let it cool a little and add honey, then lightly grind it with a blender, leaving most of the grains intact.
- Homemade Dijon mustard is ready!
Recipe for lemon mustard in a water bath
This is the easiest Dijon mustard recipe. Preparation will only take a couple of minutes, and the dish will turn out very tasty.
Suitable for those who do not have special kitchen equipment in their home.

- mustard powder – 200 g;
- water – 100 ml;
- lemon – 0.5 pcs.;
- sugar – 4 teaspoons;
- salt – 2 tsp.
How to do:
- Mix all ingredients well and place in a water bath. Heat the sauce over low heat and simmer until thick. Don’t forget to stir the mixture.
- At the end of cooking, add lemon juice. When it is completely dissolved, pour the finished sauce into clean, dry jars and screw the lids on tightly.
