Today we will tell you recipes for healthy, low-calorie mayonnaise. For your convenience, we have prepared them step by step.

From yogurt and mustard

Diet mayonnaise made from yogurt and mustard is an excellent replacement for high-calorie mayonnaise. Yogurt and mustard are a great substitute for mayonnaise. Moreover, yogurt mayonnaise is prepared without oil! And it’s suitable for vegans and raw foodists if you make the yogurt yourself.

We will need:

  • Greek yogurt (natural) – 200 gr
  • Lemon juice – 0.5 tbsp. l.
  • Russian mustard – 1/3 tsp.
  • Black (ground) pepper – 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste


Everything here is extremely simple and easy. Mix all the ingredients, it is better to use a blender and let it brew for 10-15 minutes.

That’s all the dressing is made from Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise. Add grated cucumber with herbs and get Greek Dzadzyki sauce. You can also add garlic to the sauce, the main thing is that the yogurt should be natural without additives.

From sour cream and mustard

Sour cream is not the lowest calorie product, but it is still more dietary than store-bought mayonnaise. It is very easy to prepare pp mayonnaise at home from sour cream.

We will need:

  • Cream 10% – 200 gr
  • Unscented sunflower oil – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Lemon juice – 0.5 tbsp. l.
  • Russian mustard – 1/3 tsp.
  • Black (ground) pepper – 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste

How to do:

  1. Using a blender, beat sour cream with sunflower oil until thick.
  2. While whipping, add lemon juice and mustard and pepper.
  3. Add salt and let stand for a few minutes.
  4. Sour cream mayonnaise (without eggs by the way) is ready!

This mayonnaise can be prepared without vegetable oil, then the fat content will be even less. But the sauce will be thinner, although this does not affect the taste.  

From kefir and cottage cheese

Another version of pp mayonnaise. This is a recipe based on kefir and cottage cheese, favorite foods of people on a diet. This is homemade mayonnaise without vegetable oil.

We will need:

  • Kefir (low-fat) – 0.5 cups
  • Crumbled cottage cheese (low-fat) – 1.5 tbsp. l.
  • Honey – 0.5 tsp.
  • Hot mustard – 0.5 tsp.
  • Egg yolk (boiled) – 2 pcs.
  • Apple cider vinegar – 0.5 tsp.
  • Ground pepper as desired
  • Salt to taste

How to cook:

  1. Immerse all ingredients in a blender bowl or in a glass if the blender is submersible.
  2. Beat for two to five minutes, depending on the power of your blender.
  3. Next, to thicken the mayonnaise, put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
  4. Homemade kefir mayonnaise is ready!

Well, you know how to make homemade mayonnaise without oil. It’s quick to make, but takes a long time to thicken. You can make mayonnaise from soft cottage cheese, then it will be more homogeneous. This sauce is very similar to the recipe for Dukan mayonnaise.

Apple pp mayonnaise

Did you know that you can make mayonnaise from apples? Homemade apple mayonnaise is a replacement for regular mayonnaise. Apple mayonnaise is mayonnaise without milk or any dairy product. But such mayonnaise is prepared from apples and vegetable oil. Although there is just a drop of oil here.

We will need:

  • Applesauce – 1 cup
  • Russian hot mustard – 0.5 tsp.
  • Sunflower (olive) oil – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Ground (black) pepper – 1 pinch
  • Lemon juice – 0.5 tsp.
  • Sweetener, salt to taste

Apple mayonnaise recipe:

  1. For applesauce, peel and cut the apples into slices.
  2. Place in the microwave for about 5 minutes until the apples are completely softened.
  3. Next, puree them in a blender along with salt, mustard, pepper and lemon juice.
  4. Without stopping whisking, add the oil and beat for a couple more minutes.
  5. You can add sakhzam if it turns out sour.

It is better to prepare low-calorie mayonnaise from green apples or any sour ones. You can also pre-bake apples in the oven.
