Barbecue
Ingredients:
- Ketchup – 1 glass;
- Soy sauce – 1/4 cup;
- Sugar – 1/4 cup;
- Onion – 1 pc.;
- Garlic – 2 cloves;
- Vinegar – 1/4 cup;
- Chili pepper – 1/4 teaspoon.
How to cook:
- Finely chop the onion and garlic and fry in a frying pan until golden brown;
- Add ketchup, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar and chili pepper;
- Simmer over low heat until the sauce thickens;
- Serve the sauce over hot shish kebab.

Garlic
For this recipe you can prepare homemade mayonnaise.
Ingredients:
- Mayonnaise – 1 cup;
- Garlic – 4 cloves;
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp. l.;
- Salt, pepper – to taste.

- Grind the garlic and mix with mayonnaise;
- Add lemon juice, salt and pepper;
- Serve the sauce over hot shish kebab.
This option also has a place, it is especially suitable for lovers of white and unusual barbecue sauce.
Tomato
Ingredients:
- Tomato sauce “Krasnodar” – 1 can;
- Onion – 1 pc.;
- Garlic – 2 cloves;
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp. l.;
- Salt, pepper – to taste.
How to cook:
- Finely chop the onion and garlic and fry in olive oil until golden brown;
- Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper;
- Simmer over low heat until the sauce thickens;
- Serve the sauce over hot shish kebab.
Instead of tomato sauce, you can use tomato paste. And if you add your favorite greens, you will get sauce for the kebab like in kebab shops.
Mustard
Ingredients:
- Mustard – 2 tbsp. l.;
- Mayonnaise – 1 cup;
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp. l.;
- Salt, pepper – to taste.
How to cook:
- Mix mustard, mayonnaise and lemon juice;
- Add salt and pepper to taste;
- Serve the sauce over hot shish kebab.
For a change, you can take Dijon mustard and tint it with a little turmeric or paprika.
Sour cream
Ingredients:
- Sour cream – 1 glass;
- Onion – 1 pc.;
- Garlic – 2 cloves;
- Dill – 2 tbsp. L.;
- Salt, pepper – to taste.
How to cook:
- Finely chop the onion and garlic and add to the sour cream;
- Add chopped dill, salt and pepper;
- Serve the sauce over hot shish kebab.
Here you can play with the ingredients. Remove onions or garlic, replace sour cream with yogurt or matsoni, diversify the greens.
Olive sauce
Ingredients:
- Olives – 1 glass;
- Garlic – 2 cloves;
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp. l.;
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp. l.;
- Salt, pepper – to taste.
How to cook:
- Grind the olives and garlic in a blender;
- Add lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper;
- Serve the sauce over hot shish kebab.
