Ingredients:
• canned tomatoes (400 g);
• cane sugar (10 g);
• ground black pepper (2 g);• ground cayenne pepper (3 d).• refined vegetable oil (35 ml);• salt (to taste);• small clove of garlic (1 pc.) ;• onions (160 g);
• boiling water (60 ml);
Cooking process:
- Cut the tomatoes in their own juice into several parts, place them in a deep bowl and beat with a blender, then peel the garlic clove and onion, chop these vegetables.
- Pour oil into a thick-bottomed saucepan and heat it over moderate heat, add chopped vegetables, salt them to taste, fry with constant stirring until light golden brown.
- Add spices and sugar, pour in tomato puree and boiling water, stir the sauce and cook it over low heat until thickened, about 30-35 minutes.
- Pour the flavorful sauce into a serving bowl, garnish with fresh basil or parsley leaves, and serve with chicken skewers, meat pizza, or some cheese appetizers.
