We will make the first recipe from cottage cheese with garlic, herbs and cucumber. This sauce is similar to the Greek sauce Tzatziki, but the cottage cheese included makes it more interesting.

This curd sauce with herbs is perfect for meat or fish. And be sure to try it with boiled potatoes. But first of all, this is a curd sauce with herbs for barbecue.

We will need:

  • Cottage cheese – 200 gr.
  • Sour cream – 3 tbsp. l.
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Fresh cucumber – 1 pc.
  • Table mustard – 1 tsp.
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp.
  • Dill – 1 bunch
  • Salt, pepper to taste

How to make curd sauce:

  1. First, peel the cucumber and grate it on a fine grater, add salt and put it aside.
  2. Mix cottage cheese, sour cream, butter and mustard with lemon juice, then beat them with a blender.
  3. Finely chop the dill and garlic (the garlic can be grated on a fine grater).
  4. Now squeeze out the cucumber and add it to the whipped cottage cheese along with dill and garlic.
  5. Mix everything well, without a blender, and add salt and pepper if necessary.
  6. The curd and sour cream sauce is ready!

The amount of sour cream can be used to regulate the thickness of the sauce; it can also be replaced with yogurt or yogurt. For variety, try mixing cottage cheese with herbs and pickled cucumber. The recipe will change a little, but it won’t get any worse.

This cottage cheese sauce for fish will be just right. And of course, you can replace the dill with any of your favorite herbs or take several different ones. The most important thing is to let the sauce sit for a while.

Cottage cheese sauce

The sauce is based on cottage cheese and cheese, it is an excellent spread for bread. In addition, it can be used as sauce for country-style potatoes. In this recipe we will use PP mayonnaise, see how to prepare it here. Let’s take smoked sausage cheese.


  • Cottage cheese – 150 gr.
  • Smoked cheese – 100 gr.
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Salt, pepper to taste


  1. Grate the cheese and garlic on a fine grater.
  2. Mix with cottage cheese, mayonnaise and vegetable oil.
  3. Add salt and ground pepper, stir again.
  4. The cottage cheese and cottage cheese sauce is ready!

You can also use cottage cheese or cream cheese. In this case, add 2 tablespoons of cheese to the remaining ingredients. And then the mayonnaise can be replaced with sour cream.

This is a thicker version of the sauce, although this can always be corrected. We will also prepare a sauce from soft cottage cheese. We need some kind of dip sauce in which to dip the appetizers. This curd sauce is perfect for vegetables and fries.

We will need:

  • Soft cottage cheese – 200 gr
  • Yogurt – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Any greens – 1 bunch
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Salt, pepper to taste

How to make curd sauce:

  1. Chop the greens a little to make it easier for the blender to work.
  2. It is also better to chop the garlic or pass it through a press.
  3. Then put everything in a blender bowl and beat for a couple of minutes.
  4. Then add salt and pepper and the sauce is ready!

Of course, it’s better to let it sit in the refrigerator for a bit before serving. Cut various vegetables into strips for it, which will be convenient for scooping it up. And here’s a great dinner, rich in protein and vitamins. We can say that this is diet Ranch sauce.

As we already wrote, if these sauces are made more liquid, then curd sauce for salad will be suitable. After all, the second recipe is essentially homemade mayonnaise made from cottage cheese.
