We all know about the benefits of ginger, we drink tea with ginger, especially in winter. We add ginger to marinades and infusions, so why not make a sauce with ginger. Moreover, these sauces are very simple and can be prepared quickly.

Ginger Cobb Salad Recipe

Ginger Cobb Salad Dressing

This ginger salad dressing is made for Cobb salad or, more simply, regular ginger-garlic sauce. It can also be used with any leaf lettuce. Or just pour it over chopped vegetables.

Ingredients for ginger sauce:

  • Fresh ginger – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Rice vinegar – 50 ml.
  • Olive oil – 50 ml.
  • Soy sauce – 2 tsp.
  • Russian mustard – 1 tsp.
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp. l.

How to make ginger sauce:

  1. Grate the ginger on a fine grater directly with the peel, about the size of a tablespoon, then squeeze the juice out of it into a glass of blender.
  2. Peel and chop the garlic a little, also add to the glass.
  3. Pour in oil, vinegar and soy sauce, add mustard and sugar, blend with a blender until emulsified.
  4. Ginger, garlic, soy sauce is ready!

Also be sure to try vegetables cooked over charcoal with this sauce. And of course, this ginger-soy sauce is good for fish and even works as a marinade. And if you increase the proportions, you can marinate the chicken in this soy-ginger sauce.

Redcurrant and ginger sauce for winter meat

Redcurrant and ginger sauce for meat

The beneficial properties of red currants in combination with ginger give a colossal effect. And by making this sauce for the winter, you will have a supply of vitamins for immunity in your pantry.

We will need:

  • Red currants – 1 kg.
  • A piece of ginger root the size of a cherry
  • Chili pepper – 1 pod
  • Ground black pepper – 0.5 tsp. 
  • Khmeli-suneli – 0.5 h. l.
  • Mixture of peppercorns – 0.5 tsp.
  • Bay leaf – 1 pc.
  • Salt – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Sugar – 500 gr.

How to make currant and ginger sauce:

  1. Pour boiling water over the currants to soften and rub through a sieve.
  2. Cut the chili pepper into several pieces, remove the seeds if you do not want a very hot sauce.
  3. Cut the ginger into rings.
  4. Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Skim off the foam, take out any unnecessary spices or strain the sauce and you can pour it into jars.

One kilogram of currants makes about half a liter of sauce. Ginger-currant sauce goes amazingly well with meat, especially with white chicken meat.

After all, chicken breast is a very bland product, and ginger and red currant sauce will add flavor to it. The taste is very similar to cranberry-ginger sauce, by the way, which can be prepared according to the same recipe.

Carrot sauce with garlic and ginger recipe

Carrot sauce with garlic and ginger.

Another vitamin carrot-ginger sauce. A sweetish sauce for baked or grilled vegetables, as well as for boiled potatoes.

We will need:

  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Ginger root – about the size of a cherry
  • Garlic – 1 clove.
  • Soy sauce – 40 ml. 
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp.
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Greens to your taste – 0.5 bunch
  • Sugar – 2 h. l.

Process for making ginger and carrot sauce:

  1. Peel the carrots and cut them into cubes, let them cook until soft.
  2. Then transfer it to a blender bowl and add chopped garlic to it.
  3. Grate the ginger and squeeze the juice into the carrots, add the rest of the ingredients except the herbs.
  4. Punch until smooth and add chopped herbs, the sauce is ready!

If you need to make the sauce more liquid, you can dilute it with the water in which the carrots were cooked. You can also make a spicy sauce by adding chili pepper.

Creamy ginger sauce

This sauce is made on the basis of bechamel sauce, but thanks to ginger and garlic it acquires its piquancy.

We will need:

  • Butter – 50 gr.
  • Cream – 200 ml
  • Ginger root the size of a walnut
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Wheat flour – 1 tbsp. l. no slide
  • Ground nutmeg – 1/4 tsp.
  • Pepper, salt to taste

How to make ginger cream sauce:

  1. Fry the butter and flour in a saucepan until a nutty smell appears.
  2. Then pour in the cream and stir thoroughly with a whisk until thickened.
  3. Grate the ginger and garlic, squeeze out the ginger and add the juice to the resulting sauce.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and mix again.
  5. Creamy ginger sauce is ready!

Orange ginger sauce recipe

Orange-ginger sauce

This sauce is for lovers of sweet and sour sauces for meat, especially chicken and duck.

We will need:

  • Ginger root with walnut
  • Orange – 3 pcs.
  • Butter – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Soy sauce – 50 ml
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Ground black pepper – 1/4 tsp.
  • Sugar – 2 h. l.
  • Salt to taste

How to make Ginger Orange Sauce:

  1. Finely grate the zest of one orange, then squeeze the juice out of them.
  2. Grate the ginger as usual and squeeze out the juice.
  3. Melt the butter in a wide frying pan with a thick bottom, this will help the orange juice evaporate faster.
  4. Pour in ginger juice, orange juice and soy sauce.
  5. Press a clove of garlic with a knife and add it to the pan along with sugar and zest.
  6. Over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, then remove the garlic.
  7. When you have reached the consistency you want, pepper it and add some salt if necessary.
  8. Ginger and orange sauce is ready!

The longer you simmer the sauce, the more it will caramelize (thanks to the sugar) and become more concentrated. If desired, you can punch it with a blender or rub it through a sieve.
